San Sebastián Del Oeste (Colonial San Sebastián) is located 47 miles from Puerto Vallarta, but it feels worlds apart. It’s like stepping back in time. It took us 2 hours on winding road to get up here. This hillside pueblo was founded by silver miners back in 1605. Most of the structures are well preserved. Locals are friendly and proud of their history and traditions. Perhaps, this is Puerto Vallarta best kept secret. So, go and check it out before it’s invaded by tourists.
