Inside MADRID’s Greatest ART Museums!

Well good morning my friends how are you today yep we are still in Madrid we are having a blast and today we are gonna go to one of the greatest museums in the world called the Prado Museum I’m really excited to check this out because the

Prado Museum is considered by a lot of people the second-best Museum for our world right behind the loop it’s the National Museum of Art for Spain they have some of the greatest painters in history are displayed in here going back to the 12th century so I can’t wait to

Check this out online it said that sometimes it can take more than even a day because it’s that big so we’ll see as much as we can I know it’ll be i popping mind-boggling and inspiring if nothing else so days with jordan the lion let’s go see some art here’s a

Fantastic statue of isabel ii yeah that statue right there is King Carlos the third they come to get one of those let’s walk right into this guy before I realized he was a statue oh he’s doing his part cleaning up and right there is the Teatro called the

Rhone which is showing West Side Story right now I kind of want to stop in here and eat before we go into any museums it’s gonna be quite a while while we’re in there just try this out cuz this thing looks pretty good well the one

That I wanted on the menu they actually didn’t have any more so now we’re trying this one more by a this guy’s doing the Hulk Hogan move set of lifting steam now check this out you know how I always tell you guys you know if you can go to cities that you can

Walk because you never know what you’ll find well when we were in Mexico we did an entire museum to Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra the man who wrote Don Quixote I believe we just found one of his residents or where they published his book that right there is case in point

Why I love to go to cities where I don’t have to run a car I can just walk that were made for walking speaking of says this is a charity shop and they’ve made little fish out of colored plates [Applause] take a look at this up in the windows [Applause]

All right we finally made it to the museum see’em de prado and yes they have some Goya they actually have some of the Goya from the black period as they called it when he was just putting all of his art right directly onto the walls well here’s your cliff notes as to who

We’re gonna see [Applause] This is Bellini well we are done with the museum already almost immediately they told me I couldn’t take photos now the problem with that is that when I bought the ticket I had my camera in my hand they never said I couldn’t take photos when I went through the line through the metal

Detectors and security and everything I looked at their sign that said no flash so I don’t know what the problem was so the whole point of bringing you here was to show you things if I can’t show you then we’re gonna leave and we’re actually this is part of what they call

A Golden Triangle of Museum so it’s actually two other really great museums around here so we’ll go find another one that will let us take photos so they gave me my money back and when they were doing that the lady said if you want to take photos go to this other museum and

She said they’ll let you take photos almost every works for one place so we’re gonna head over there I’m shocked we couldn’t take photos in there to say the least because when I was researching for this I found all kinds of photos of the paintings and things and articles

All over the place online the Statue of velázquez is great [Applause] do we have here what the heck kind of animal is that [Applause] look at the side of this building I just found all the different flowers and everything on there [Applause] so here’s our new destination is iam

Reina Sofia the big elevator has the name of our museum on it so let’s go to be honest this could totally be a blessing in disguise because this is a totally different type of museum than old-time paintings and to be honest I’m not really in the mood for old-time

Paintings anymore after walking through there I think this would be a whole lot more fun there’s some projection art And there’s a lot going on in here Oh dude that’s awesome this one’s called the background of Pollak it’s got all of his influences check this out the horses I love this series this is really really well done Wow that’s all found object art this one’s called the cold war in this big ones of Picasso this is kind of interesting it has a lot of found objects in it including a broken horn and a picture of Billie Holiday this is incredible this one kinda reminds me of Snoopy when

He’s the Red Baron now he got something over here see what he’s doing Had to come out to the garden I went to see what this was let’s take this crazy elevator here we go four floors up more Picasso It’s another very interesting Picasso [Applause] wow that’s quite a collection That’s interesting a giraffe on fire great legs frog hurtling those are all made with paint dots so big that they actually look like they’re all fun tacks this looks like crochet art but it’s also painted This room is really interesting look at these giant glass plates inside is the art these are all figures of women This one’s called the little black cage and it looks like a workout prison room for a rat Popeye the dance of death well my friends I think I’m gonna call it a day here want to thank Lindy Rafiq and mallya Garcia for becoming new patreon I hope you guys enjoy today it

Didn’t exactly go as I planned but I think it probably worked out better because I got to walk through quite a bit of the Prado before I left and it was great art but it was old art and I just felt like seeing something kind of

Younger today and we did so I hope you guys enjoyed this have a great night come back and see me tomorrow you won’t be disappointed see you then goodbye

  1. What an amazing Vlog, Jordan! I love Madrid! It's like my home away from home! This looks like a cool place! Maybe I'll go visit next time I go!

  2. I thought the figures on the window cills were cool and the flowered wall. The whole city is remarkable. Great museum. Glad they let you film. 👍🏻😎

  3. Thank you Jordan. This is my kind of museum!!!
The “old” art is sometimes boring.
You could come everyday and look at the pictures and each time find something new in them.
It makes you wonder what the artist was thing as they created.

  4. I love this video .8:19 This work is by a very famous Argentine painter, called Antonio Berni, most of his works portray Juanito Laguna, a poor child and in them he uses junk from the environment where Juanito lived.his work is wonderful and it is an honor and a great joy to hear your surprise at seeing it. It is shocking . thanks for showing art 🙂

  5. Jordan, I have always enjoyed your vlogs what ever it is! Since I cannot make it out there just yet your videos show me what is there. Keep up the great job! This vlog was very cool!

  6. Thank You Jordan for more great knowledge/vlogs. I also wanted to say thank you, and it does get noticed and greatly appreciated, that even when you are traveling, you make sure to put your vlog up around the same time each morning. talent of seeing through the
    lense is amazing. WOW.
    Be safe, thank you for
taking me on your great journey.

  8. I Love all your vlogs! Because of you I get to see places I probably will never see. Haters need to get a life. They are jealous they want yours. Keep being your wonderful self!

  9. Jordan 🦁, Another, Amazing vlog. 👏👍👏
This week, I have a face to face interview for a Major Airline. I, am hoping that new career position comes through, so I can to do more traveling. 😉

  10. I agree with you. I like the second museum much more. Has artwork that makes you think. I love the glass elevator. I love seeing Madrid through your eyes. Thanks for making such a lovely vlog. I enjoyed it. Safe travels and take care.

  11. I remember going there when we were living there. Was one of the first museums for me to visit. Had postcards from all over Madrid an Turned it into one of my videos. Is the Air Force Base still there? I think it was called Torrejon.

  12. Awww that’s such a shame that they didn’t let you film in the first art museum . I never been and my friend tells me that it’s wonderful. But the second museum is way cooler . 🙂👍 Maybe they didn’t let you film because it depends who is working that day ? Because my friend went last year and they let her and she went twice . She said the second time they were trying to give her an issue and then they backed off after she called them out lol .

I just finished watching all the Madrid vlogs and they are such a treat . Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s vlog 🙏🏻.

  13. I always feel like you are sticking up for us when you try to capture the magic on video for your subscribers but they don't allow cameras and I appreciate you for it. I liked the more modern and weird art today too. You sure do a fascinating vlog and I especially enjoy learning and seeing things I never will in real life. You sure are a fountain of knowledge when it comes to old Hollywood History. I love it when people try to keep historical places from crumbling down and you do a great job of not letting so many places just become an old dusty memory.

  14. You should try going to the Hotel where The Shinning was made. I've read that what was depicted in the movie really happened. BTW love your videos
