Wild flowers the trees and the butterflies that are here In the little Lakes Valley it’s a great spot to have a 360 view of all the mountains that are here it’s beautiful this way and it’s also beautiful this way and this way and this way for for it’s late August and the water is still melting out of the snow and coming down

From the mountains although I’ve been here in July before and the ground has been covered with snow here so even though there was a record snowfall last year it’s uh still managed to melt everything out basically this is a Seasonal Pool it’s so wet this year that the snow is melting and

Filling in all of the crevices here like this depression that is filled with water and even has grass growing in it like so beautiful here with the stream running the wild flowers growing everywhere the the water is soaking into the ground everywhere around here heading up to the final high elevation

Gem Lakes right up over the pr of the we made it this is it here are the gem Lakes behind me the water is amazingly clear here cool the water is so lovely and clear here there’s fish swimming around in the water probably rainbow trout the water

Is really cold though so I say I would say it’s too cold to swim in I’m swimming pretty cold got a beautiful mountain in the background every direction you turn has another beautiful view of the mountains the field is flooded here but it’s really interesting how the stream still

Goes through the middle of the grass if it wasn’t so wet this would be a meadow with grass growing out of dirt not water and the stream in the middle would still be flowing which is why the grass isn’t growing out of the Stream it’s been a beautiful hike today in the

Little Lakes Valley all the way up to the gem Lakes the color of the lakes here is just spectacular the water is very clear the bottom of the Lakes looks blue or green in the sunlight there’s fish swimming in The Lakes saw a couple of hummingbird moths which was exciting

Next time speaking of hummingbird moths one of the hummingbird moths flew up to me right up to my face I could hear the wor of its wings and it buzzed around my head I I think it was attracted to the pink hat uh because the color is really
