  1. Great points about wine scores!
    While I personally take the average of Robert Parker and Wine Spectator for my red wine tastes, I use all of the different major professional ratings as a way to compare vintages and widely-rated wines. If there is nearly a unanimous consensus of preference for one over the other (comparing each rating's scores for the two wines), then it would make that more compelling of a purchase (assuming comparable pricing).
