Itinerary:
A hike through Sierra’s Granite Park from its lower ridge above Honeymoon Lake to the upper moonscape of Granite Park close to Italy Pass.

Notes about the map: the map is indicative of the trip itinerary although mileage and moving time cannot be considered as reference as I often deviated from the route for filming and photography; also the moving time on the map includes all stops and beaks during the day as I stop recording only once camp was setup for each day.
Hike Notes:
Granite Park name is truly visual. This basin of the Sierra features a moonscape of granite where the vegetation appears sparse despite the abundance of water. It is an incredibly beautiful area to hike and to camp at, with three distinct landscape variations. The lower part features sparse tree forest and more vegetation in general. The middle part has lakes, many tarns and water features, sparse trees and some beautiful meadow areas nested in granite bowls. The upper Granite Park is a barren, granite rock scape with little vegetation but still relevant lakes and tarns. The hike throughout is absolutely beautiful and camping is superb in all of the landscape variations. The basin is surrounded by beautiful peaks and golden hours are terrific both in the evening and in the morning. I truly enjoyed my time there and felt a feature video would help providing a glimpse of its amazing beauty.
