Valencia is located on the Eastern coast of Spain, along the Mediterranean Sea. It is the capital of the Valencian Community and the third-largest city in Spain.

Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) in Valencia is one of Spain’s most iconic modern landmarks—a futuristic complex that blends science, nature, and art in spectacular architectural form. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, the complex stretches nearly 2 kilometers through the former Turia riverbed. The complex comprises of:

Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe – an interactive science museum that resembles the skeleton of a whale

L’Hemisfèric – an IMAX Cinema that resembles a giant eye

L’Àgora – the striking blue building houses the cultural center

Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía – an opera house

Assut de l’Or Bridge – white single-pylon cable-stayed bridge

Banco de Valencia building is a striking example of early 20th-century Valencian architecture, known for its elegant curves, ornate detailing, and prominent corner tower. It remains one of the most photographed façades in the city.

Plaça de la Reina is Valencia’s central square framed by Gothic and Baroque landmarks like the Valencia Cathedral and Miguelete Tower. The Holy Chalice of Valencia, housed in a chapel inside Valencia Cathedral, is believed by many to be the actual cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper.

Plaza Redonda (Plaça Redona) is a circular plaza featuring a central fountain and rings of vendor stalls.

Plaça de l’Ajuntament (Plaza del Ayuntamiento) is the main civic square in Valencia, located in the Ciutat Vella (Old Town) district. It is framed by early 20th-century architecture like the City Hall and Central Post Office, both rich in Renaissance and Baroque details.
