Reno to Las Vegas – Scenic Road Trip Through the Nevada Desert 4K
In this video, we take you on the full drive from Reno to Las Vegas through Nevada on one of the most epic and varied road trips in the American West. We leave the casinos and high desert country around Reno behind and head south through rugged mountain ranges, endless sagebrush valleys, a huge desert mountain lake, and some seriously dramatic desert scenery on some of the loneliest roads in America.
Ride along with us on this long haul road trip as we climb scenic mountain passes, roll through wide-open basins filled with Joshua trees, and drop down into colorful red rock canyons and vast empty horizons. Starting from the twisting roads in the Sierra Nevada foothills all the way to the final stretch where iconic desert landmarks fly by, this trip really shows off the wild, untamed heart of Nevada.
And as we get closer to Vegas, the sky lights up with an incredible sunset, painting the desert mountains in deep oranges and reds right before the bright lights of the Strip start glowing on the horizon.

OMG!! @3:05:42–3:06:42 😍😍 I could watch this all day, just so serene & peaceful
Excellent work, what editing software do you use? If it’s not a bother, I also edit road videos and insert GPS data, but it doesn’t compare to your videos, they are very professional.
Regards
Timing your arrival in Lost Wages to happen at nautical twilight? Genius.
Pulling it off, in a single, 7 hour take? INCREDIBLE.
VERY GOOD ❤❤❤❤
The mountain range seen at 3:05:42 is the White Mountains, not the Sierra Nevada. The peak on the right end is Boundary Peak, the highest point in Nevada, so named because its summit straddles the border of California and Nevada. The peak in the center at 3:06:35 is White Mountain Peak, the third highest peak in California. The Sierra Nevada is behind this range, and the top crest can be seen briefly from a great distance just after leaving Tonopah going southbound. The burned-out truck seen at the gas station in Goldfield was an event that happened on the first day the station was open for business. A driver had the engine on fire and pulled in next to the gas pumps! Fortunately the pumps weren't operating yet. You must have driven by on the day after that happened.
Ого! 7 годин?! Це вже як у приготуванні їжі – пересолив)).
How do you reduce the wind noise from your camera being mounted on the car?
7h01m25s of desert horizons 🚙✨ … every mile a story, SUPER VIDEO☝️
Wipe open terrain there, nice!
I love this nature 👍
Beautiful video………………….
I was looking for the shoe tree between Shurz and Walker Lake.
"The Walker Lake Shoe Tree is another example of this unique American art form. It is along US 95 north of Walker Lake, NV. It has been there for many years, and is a favorite sight as I travel up and down that lonely road."
I took that drive, but I went from Reno to Fallon, then went to Tonopah via Hawthorn. Spent the night in Tonopah and then I took Hwy 6 from Tonopah to Hwy 375 (extraterrestrial Hwy) and I drove the entire length of Hwy 375, got on Hwy 93 and took that down to Las Vegas.
Love that drive. I originated my trip in Medford Oregon, right along i5, drove from Medford to Reno where I spend a few days with family.
Beautiful video ❤. Camera quality is awesome. Which camera you are using?
Have done this drive from RNO to LAS more times than I can count. I know every turn, bump, and little town on that road like the back of my hand. Still a lovely, if long drive. often get it done in about 6.5 hours with a little extra speed ….
I always wondered the route to take to get from Reno to Vegas since I’d seen there isn’t a major highway between the two cities. Also desert sunsets are so beautiful
Thank you for a very long ride but very beautiful
very beautiful

Thank you for the long drive. I've never seen the lights of Las Vegas look so bright before.
