The Inyo National Forest in the eastern Sierra is a place that was always a welcoming retreat for this young man with his son and nephew. Until one night while camping an unexpected visitor shattered their dreams of peace!
Story 2
In 1986 2 young men go for a hike in Wyoming only to realize they will be getting out of the forest after dark. Upon returning to their truck something is waiting for them in the moon light…with frightening results!

Beautiful scenery you shared with us today, Chris and two scary stories. Of course we know the people AND you have made it safely home because we're hearing about the encounters but you really know how to build the suspense. Will Bigfoot mash down the tent fabric? Will they start pounding on the brand new truck? I was kind of surprised the older Sasquatch booked it without waiting for the little one. Maybe they were its elder siblings.😆Great to see the impact you have on the younger generation! Maybe they will live to see actual documentation and protection of our hominid cousin.

Ringo's section was too short! I got the feeling he was going to tell us bout a moody Sasquatch that got tired of waiting for access to a nice, 10 foot tall outhouse… So tired of waiting, in fact that he eventually chose to push the outhouse over onto its side!
Then he peed on the door as people welre trying to escape, and began repeating the following phrase in mind speak:
"This is obviously not Best Foods mayonnaise, and cookie should be ashamed of himself for trying to pass such an abomination into my hot dog plate."
Oh well ….. Lesson learned, I suppose.
But next time please let Ringo finish the story!
He has an intense seriousness in his eyes that I hope lots more campers will get to experience, eventually.

The brook you sat by for the second story reminds me of a scene in the movie "Happiness for Beginners" (on Netflix). If you haven't seen it, I bet you and Jeanette would like it. You would get a kick out of the hiking guide for sure.
