Solo Backpacking Sequoia National Park: Nine Mile Creek – Hamilton Lake – High Sierra Trail
This video is from a solo backpacking trip into Sequoia National Park via the High Sierra Trail starting from the Crescent Meadow Trailhead. The first day I got off work around 4:00 PM, drove to the trailhead and then powered down the trail as far as I could before dark. The next day was much more scenic day as I headed toward the main destination for the trip. I had a great time on this trip and this only inspires me to complete the full High Sierra Trail in the future. Hopefully this video can do a slight bit of justice to the area as it’s filled with awe inspiring views and what seemed like wildlife in every direction.
Thanks for watching.

new video? bricked up rn
Oh my lord! Those sweeping cinematic views have me feeling soooo homesick. Don't get me wrong, the Pennsylvania woods where I live now are great, but I'll always be a California boy at heart. Thanks again Nick for reminding me of my youth. 🙂
insane views! the best youtube channel
WOW Hamilton Lake is amazing !!!!! Beautiful hike up and back, I'm so jealous !! Those Pika's sure are cute, but they can be a real annoyance. I've had one eat my trekking pole handle ( like what you experienced ) I had one all around my tent one night, and it took off with my tent stake bag with stakes in it, my pot dyneema bag, my kitchen cloth, and another dyneema bag. That mouse was set for the winter !! Super amazing trip !!
💛…there are art gallery paintings with mountain grandeur depictions that seem like exaggerations…you just proved them wrong…magnificent is an understatement…great flora too…
Great video. I’d love to hike the High Sierra Trail very soon I hope. What map were you using when showing your route?
Tail guy for sure!
