Coyote will carry your pets off if they get the chance .. they are fun to spot but can cause trouble too …😊
Heck. I live between Glacier and Yellowstone and never seen a coyote, just the usual bison and elk.
Yes, in New England the traditional Saturday night Baked Beans and Ham dinner are grilled on a big flat skillet with eggs the next morning. But the beans are not runny like English beans but dark and thick with brown sugar, molasses and maybe some mustard.
If you don’t have one already, get a guide on North American animals and find out whether they are dangerous or not. Better to be safe than sorry. Best to stay away if not sure. Yosemite is beautiful. So much beautiful scenery in California but “Big Sur” is my favorite. I hope you get to or got to see the gold country on Hwy 49 and Hwy 41. Cute, quaint towns along the way.

Trees were Ponderosa Pine (possibly a Jeffrey Pine, left side of trail) and an Incense Cedar (right side of trail), which has similar bark to a Sequoia.
My friend died climbing El Capitan 3 yrs ago. Quite an experienced climber too.
The trees looked like Ponderosa Pine and Incense Cedar.
That wasn’t very crowded. At least you could park. And there are shuttle busses to take you around the loops.
I’ve spent a week camping there with a friend. A different hike each day.

Too bad you missed the grove of Giant Sequoias right after the entrance. Also you should have gone to glacier point if it was open. Also if you come to Yosemite again you need to go to the high country and then you can see Mono Lake. Then drive down 395 to Death Valley.
People are there as the Pay Gate is gone and not for the rich and influencers anymore, do not like that just go home. As this is our National Park…

Have you had any maintenance on your motorhome oil change, brakes check and things ?
What were the dates you were there? My daughters and I returned from there last week and we had sun and did not see snow. Stunning scenery!

Coyotes are not dangerous – although they could snatch up a sm dog or cat – but I have also observed them playing w dogs!

Coyotes go after small pets…not dangerous to humans. We lived in san diego for 20 years…lots of coyotes. Im so very happy you at least had a short stop in yosemite!❤…if you ever go again and are able to drive above the treeline, lots of BEAUTIFUL lakes….i actually used to enjoy it more than the park….for a long stay. ❤
My western trails coach tour took in Yosemite and we visited in August 2011.Sadly it was too big to cover in a half day but the scenery was amazing.Luckily we avoided bad weather too but saw no waterfalls that day.Did you ever get to visit Bryce Canyon in Utah or the Slot Caves in Nevada.They are both out of this world to visit and experience
I'm glad you guys went to Vernal Falls! It's such a beautiful hike. I grew up camping at Yosemite and then we used to take our kids every year when they were younger. Now we're waiting to take our grand babies!
Hello, the Sierra Redwoods(Sequoiadendron giganteum) only live in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
The coastal Redwoods(Sequoia Sempervirens) only live within the foggy cool regions of coastal Northern California.
You must see Calaveras Big Trees state park with the largest trees on planet earth.
You'll be amazed.
The trees with the dinosaur like bark are ponderosa Pines or Pinus ponderosa.
Lovely video, Yosemite is glorious one of my spots in the Sierras.
There are no redwoods or Sequoias inside Yosemite Valley. The Sequoia's in the park are south of the valley, near Wawona, but part of the entire park. Coastal redwoods are only along the coast, not inland. Just Sequoias.😊
